out if you qualify for a government approved debt solution that can legally write
off 80 to 85% of your debt. This solution is for no longer than 5 years regardless
of the size of your debt.
This does not mean you wont be able to ever get credit again, in
fact once you have finished the 5 year period then 28 days after completion,
your supervisor (the person that administers the IVA for you) will send you a notice
of satisfaction that clearly states you have paid the debt on agreed term of 5 years.
You then send this notice of satisfaction to the credit reference agencies (Equifax
and Experian) who hold your current credit records. Once they have received this
from you, your credit status resets for a fresh start.
